I want you to imagine living in the United States 40 years ago as a Hispanic, 18 years living in the Hippie California culture. The masses would go to this place to experiment with sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Interestingly, at the same time there was a revival that became known as the Jesus movement that was led by Chuck Smith. There was an extraordinary expansion among Caucasian Americans in California through the Calvary Chapel movement, people like Raul Ries, Pancho Juarez, Fausto Pflucker were used by God to reach the Hispanic culture. And the first person who started a Hispanic Calvary Chapel was Fausto Pflucker and this was about 35 years ago.

Besides pastoring a Hispanic church in California, he travels extensively to support pastors across Latin America and has been a family friend for 35 years and personally is a very close friend (He gave me premarital counseling before marrying Evelyn and he was the master of ceremonies at my wedding). Fausto has already come to Horizonte several times and is always a HUGE blessing. He will be teaching about the importance of loving the church.
